Late eighteenth century witnessed the emergence of an intellectual and artistic movement that transpired a response against the expanding capitalism and a scientific rationale gripping the western world. Spiritual alienation lurked upon humanity. The romantics voiced against such depraved idiosyncrasies through their works.

The exhibition takes inspiration from the ethos of the romantic era whence nature became centre for the origin of all creative genius. Artists depicted and often mimicked the splendors of nature and its overwhelming aspect. The artists participating in this exhibition aspire to forge a discourse upon the shifting relationship between human and its natural habitation. Their points of engagement are distinct but the premise remains constant around which they weave their narratives.
