The recent works of Maneesha Doshi talk about her deep rooted search to express internalised coronation of self. Her paintings depict identity of an individual through varied interpretations of headgears that have been an integral part of civilizational history. However, here these headgears represent the innate nature of an individual suggestive of their personal sense of dream, power and divinity, almost like a self reflection. Furthermore, they seem to create a sense of belonging with the universe through varied motifs and suggestive gestures. Her paintings are almost paradoxical in that sense, looking inward and outward in the same moment.
