Tara Books is kicking of our 25th year with a series of lectures and events around the making of books. We are kicking this series off with artist and print-maker Indrapramit Roy with an illustrated talk on The Picture Book For Adults.

This lecture will reflect on the fascinating genre of picturebook for adults, its history and significance. Indrapramit Roy studied at Vishwarbharathi Unviersity, Shantiniketan and Royal College of Art, London. He has had several solo shows across the world, and represented India at the Asian Art Exhibition in Macao and the Cairo Biennale, Cairo. He is currently Professor of Painting at the MS University, Baroda.

He is also the illustrator of one of Tara Books very first books, “A Very Hungry Lion.”
